Love that.

Took Cassie out for her longest bike ride ever! The ride came to a total of 16.27 miles. We are training for the Tour de Donut. After I ran my bike up to our apartment I was able to catch this photo of her “resting” after the ride. She did a great job but she was worn out. : )

This kid is awesome! Wish I was more like him. Cycling and Rock and Roll for the win!

Woot! I recently had the idea of recording family members and friends share stories from their lives and share them through a podcast. I submitted the podcast feed to iTunes and it got approved! (not that it’s super hard) If you are interested in subscribing to the podcast you can check it out on iTunes via http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/stories-from-my-family-tree/id433114541 I also wouldn’t mind a click or two from you to rate the podcast. : )

First BBQ!!!!

Cassie and I had our very first BBQ for the year AND it was the first time we have done a BBQ with just the two of us. It was a lot of fun and it was soooooooooooooo good. Cassie likes not having to cook dinner and I had a fun time doing it so I think this could happen a lot more during this year. : ) Here are some shots from the adventure.

I think this is my new favorite video. : ) If you’ve never experienced what this video is about you should!

This video tickled my geek bone like no other. My how the floppy drives bring back good memories. : )

Crazy Dream 02/18/2011

I had the strangest dream last night that I went into a coma for 4 months at the end of a mission I was serving in another country and when I woke up I thought I had slept through an entire day. I was then concerned about how much the hospital stay cost my friends and family. When I asked a friend about the cost they said not to worry about it because the hospital didn’t charge the coma rate but instead charged the regular sick rate. I woke up confused.

Probably one of the coolest things I have built for a server. I am working on starting my own hosting gig focusing on helping students getting into programming the web. One of my biggest frustrations, when I first got started out with shared hosting, was not having much insight as to how the server was doing. I built a simple php/mysql tool to give my future customers exactly that insight with a status page showing historical load on the server. The load data is stored and displayed in a round-robin style with diminishing detail as the data ages. You can visit the test page at status.michaelgrace.info and will eventually move to its new home servermonsters.com
